What We Do

Employment & Skills

Dedicated to empowerment, our Employment & Skills initiatives focus on guiding individuals toward realising their career aspirations. Situated in our Big Onion Hubs, our skilled team possesses extensive expertise and connections across diverse industrial sectors. Operating in Sefton, our projects, including the Sefton Youth Hub, aim to support those detached from the labour market, especially individuals under 25. With a person-centred approach, we address varied challenges, fostering financial independence and meaningful career progression.

Business Start Up & Growth

Fostering Merseyside’s entrepreneurial spirit, we’re dedicated to nurturing the next wave of business owners and entrepreneurs, with over 20 years of proven success. Operating from our Big Onion Hubs, we incubate 20 local retail businesses, provide a base for 25 enterprises, and deliver the Sefton Business Start-Up Programme in partnership with Invest Sefton & SAFE Regeneration. Collaborating with institutions like Liverpool John Moores Business School and Hugh Baird College, we champion enterprise skills through accredited training, aiming to enhance Sefton’s business ecosystem.

Redesigning the High Street

Addressing challenges faced by High Streets nationwide, our Big Onion hubs aim to revitalise vacant commercial spaces. We advocate for retail diversity, supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs, fostering a vibrant local economy. Partnering with stakeholders, we envision playing a pivotal role in restoring the vitality of our once-thriving High Streets.

Community Development

With a 25-year commitment, we strive to build resilient communities, addressing daily challenges. Collaborating with various organisations, we assess local needs, design interventions, and celebrate our communities through events and activities. Our goal is to create conditions for individuals to overcome challenges, make choices, and plan for their futures.

Our Relationships
